Recipe

This dish is provided by Lee Kum Kee and is an excellet demonstration of their Hoisin Sauce. It was used on the Healthy Chinese Cuisine Ambassadors project and cooked by students in secondary schools.

Ingredients: (Serves 2)

  • 300g chicken breast (cut into 2cm cubes or diced)

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1/2 red/green pepper (cut into 3cm pieces)

  • 50g baby sweet corn (cut into 3cm pieces)

  • 30g (1 small) carrot (thinly sliced)

 

  • 30g long beans (cut into 3cm pieces)

  • 10g ginger (thinly chopped)

Marinade:

  • 1tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce

Sauce Mix:

  • 2tbsp Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce

  • 2tbsp of water
 

 

 

Method:

  • Marinate the chicken with oyster sauce and set aside

  • Saute ginger over medium heat for 1 minute with oil, then add chicken to stir fry for 5 minutes 

  • Add in the vegetables stir fry for 3 minutes and then add in the sauce mix for a further 3 minutes until the chicken is cooked through

* Special Touches:

  • Change the main ingredient to pork, prawns or Vegetarian substitute, e.g. Quron, Tofu puff etc.

  • Change the sauce to Chili Garlic Sauce for a spicy version or use Black Bean Garlic Sauce for a classic Chinese flavour.
